Publisher Shelita Burns confronts questions of race and identity as she struggles to sort out the past of Libby Price, a southern black woman who's memoirs are earning Shelita income and recognition. Shelita is forced to deal with her own past just as unwanted secrets of Libby's past begin to surface.
